MEADE LXD75 GERMAN EQUATORIAL MOUNT:
Sturdy Mount with Heavy-Duty Castings Designed by Meade’s engineers and manufactured for high-performance observing and astrophotography. Shaft
& Bearing System The sturdy German Equatorial Mount is accurate
and precise. The RA and Dec axes move effortlessly on four High-Precision Worm Gears Located on both axes for smooth tracking and slewing. High-Precision Pointing (HPP) For even more precise pointing use the HPP function. HPP puts objects in the center of the field-of-view which allows you to confirm deep sky objects at the faintest limits of the telescope’s capability. Periodic Error Correction Corrects periodic errors on the RA axis over the course of one or more training periods, thereby minimizing guiding corrections during long-exposure photography. 9-Speed Drive Controls From a rapid slew rate of 4.5°/sec. to 1x sidereal—it’s all controlled from the AutoStar controller. 3-Star Alignment Ensures precise alignment while eliminating the need for a complicated optical/mechanical alignment process. Heavy-Duty Tripod Variable-height field tripod with spreader bar brace provides the stability and vibration damping required for visual observation and astrophotography. Meade LXD75 系列 '史密特-牛頓'
(Schmidt-Newtonian) 望遠鏡之優點為廣視場,
大光圈折反射系統望遠鏡, 配合 LXD75
德式赤道儀, 用 Autostar
控制, 適合目視觀測及攝影用途. 由於其修正透鏡為非球面
(aspherical) 設計, 使整個視場的星點皆呈點狀,
沒有彗差 (coma), 故其光圈 (焦比,
focal ratio) 可達 f/4, 極適合觀測星雲、星團及作
'尋彗星鏡' (comet hunter) 用途.
LXD75 的赤道儀可用手動及自動追蹤,
極軸的仰角及水平均可微調, 以便準確對準天球北極,
適宜長時間追蹤攝影之用.
配合先進之 Autostar 手控,
只需輸入日期,
時間及預調兩顆修正星 (alignment star),
即可自動導入 30,223 個天体:
包括太陽,行星,
小行星,
彗星, 星雲,
星團 及預設的任何目標.
由於所有LXD75赤道儀是運作於極軸制式
(Polar mode祇赤經馬達轉動),
如 Autostar
為 25E/ 26E 或以前版本,

LXD75系列 與 Autostar
簡易對準 (alignment) 法
1. Autostar 上按
5 鍵
2. 輸入 [日期],
本地 [時間], Daylight Saving
[NO]
3. 屏幕顯示 Align, 按 Enter 選擇
easy
4. Home Position/ 歸零位置: 將鏡筒調成向北 (與極軸平衡)
及平衡錘置於最低位置 (平衡桿呈垂直狀態) 
5. 按 enter, 望遠鏡自動指向一顆己設定的亮星
6. 如該星不在主鏡視場, 按 上/下/左/右符號鍵
7. 按 enter, 望遠鏡再自動指向另一顆己設定的亮星
8. 如果該星不在視場, 重覆步驟 6
9. 如果該星剛在視場中央, 按 enter
10. alignment 步驟完成, 望遠鏡已在追蹤及自動找星
赤緯馬達置於西方位置, 將鏡筒環下方燕尾接口
[雄]
(dovetail adapter, male) 與於赤道儀上方燕尾接口 [雌]
(dovetail adapter, female) 鎖緊。
極軸鏡對準方法:
1. 將西六對應刻度指針
2. 再把當晚日期對應當晚時間
3. 再把極軸鏡內的北極星移至 [ ] 內, 基本上人手對極方面已大致完成
4. 最後, 啟動 LXD75 Handbox 便可
備註: 於
Autostar 使用 utilities>park scope 關機後再開機,
若三腳架位置沒有移動, 則無需再做修正 (align)

coatings on the primary and secondary mirrors (Ultra-High

achromatic viewfinder; metal rack-and-pinion focuser with eyepiece holders for
both 1.25" and 2" eyepieces; Series 4000 Super Plössl 26mm eyepiece.
LXD55 German-type equatorial mount with worm gear drives and electric slow-motion
controls on both axes; micrometric controls for azimuth and elevation adjustments;
illuminated polar alignment finder with reticle; variable-height field tripod
with accessory shelf. Autostar dual-axis control system with digital readout
display; 9-speed drive controls; 30,223-object celestial software library and
automatic GO TO object-locating. Battery pack accepting eight (user-supplied)
D-cells (optional 25 ft. cords permit powering from either 12v DC auto cigarette
lighter plug or from 115v AC home outlet); operating instructions.
